Obama's economic stimulus package has included $17.2 billion to reward Medicare and Medicaid providers who can prove they are using certified healthcare IT "in a meaningful way". The Bill also offer additional Medicaid incentives for adopting and using certified Electronic Medical Record (EMR) technology. The incentives payments are up to $65,000 per physician.
